Lexi Reisch - Graduate Collection 2020

At present, Lexi is in her final weeks of her graduate year studying the Bachelor of Fashion Design at a globally leading university RMIT. Throughout her studies, Lexi has dipped her toes into many fields of design among fashion, with a focus on costume couture as a sub culture among her degree. Developing an in depth understanding of commercial and luxury emerging markets she has gained a great appreciation for the contemporary aesthetic mixed with historical techniques and application methods. Creating her very own cavity among the industry; ‘Costume Couture’, she builds a relationship and contrast between fantasy, extravagance and wearability. Themes of textural variation, layering, volume and structure, coupled with her leather pieces, Lexi has expanded on her skillset by heading into yet another niche design sector of traditional handmade artisan leather products, paired with her aspirations for haut couture. Aspiring to head down the path of costume design she has the spotlight on developing her technical skillset through her current collection. Outside of university, Lexi’s passion is creating bespoke pieces for clients as well as sourcing inspiration through her global travels.
